"Dance makes sense when the body is in motion," says Natalija Vladisavljević, author, dancer and choreographer of Dance in the 21st Century. One can say many words about dance while missing it because, "there's contemporary dance without music, or contemporary dance without dance." This imposing piece puts a score in the space that describes nothing less than what we call our present. Together with the disabled and non-disabled dancers of the dance and theater collective Per.Art from Novi Sad, Serbia, a poetic encyclopedia and re-appropriation of dance is created here: from Nijinsky to Swan Lake, an alternative, poetic canon is spanned that proposes a lustful and moving look at what dance could have been in the 21st century.
