Artistic crossovers and choreographic experiments will be the center of the third day of Random Circles. The wonderful Frankfurt-based band Riverside Collective will start the day off for us.

The fun will continue with Artistic Crossovers after the concert. Inxi, Kwame, Walid, Cintia and Ukay will take part with the Riverside Collective. These fantastic dancers will improvise and perform by bringing in their expertise in various styles. Each of them will be accompanied by an instrument—played by the Riverside musicians—and move with the sound.

Whoever feels moved to dance while watching can always follow this impulse in between during Jam & Connect. In this festivity for ears and eyes, DJ VunkyLao will interact and improvise spontaneously with other artists and dancers who are present.

Three extraordinary dance performances will finish off Random Circles: BKP will begin the finale with CONNECTED. Bachtale Kale Phrala or BKP is an independent art and dance group that focuses on African-American street dance styles and music, especially hip hop, funk, and soul. In their work, they will combine these musical styles with Romani folklores and musical motifs. Black, an already iconic solo dance performance by Oulouy, is a reflection on violence and emancipation of blackness in today’s world, in which a body tells stories, challenges, and disturbs—a body that is both wounded and celebrated. The brothers Kristián and Marek Mensa will then explore themes of brotherhood, separation, and forgiveness by combining breaking and jazz in the dance performance Breaking Jazz.
